One of the good things about living in Croydon is that whilst you are just half an hour from the hustle and bustle of London life, you are also only a short drive away from the countryside and some fresh air.
We are very fortunate to have such a wide variety of family-friendly activities on our doorstep and since having our daughter we have started to venture out and explore (our pre-children weekend routine of surfacing by lunchtime to start the day no longer works and now we are usually up and dressed by 8am!)
Not too long ago, we discovered that Nutfield Priory Farm was nearby and now it’s become a weekend favourite. Located between Godstone and Redhill, Nutfield Priory Farm offers families plenty to do in a picturesque setting for a couple of hours. It has an interesting and pretty discovery walk that gives kids the chance to get hands on with nature as well as stretch their little legs.
Once you’ve taken in the countryside views, said hello to the fish at the lake and had a look at the insects in the bug boxes then there is a cafe ready and waiting with sandwiches, cooked breakfasts and cake. There’s also a kids play area with a sandpit and swings, slides and a tractor to climb on.
Mum life tip: Visit Nutfield Priory Farm in the morning and enjoy a tasty cooked breakfast!
